CALI

A table is being set. Yours, perhaps.

A Place at the Table

Some seats
aren't for sale.

Every day across our four outlets, thirty-one meals are quietly set aside. No applications, no proof of income, no fuss. Six rotating programmes across the year — for the people who built this island, the ones bringing the next generation home, and the ones who answer when we need them.

31/day

free meals, served on the honour system. A 25% companion discount means whoever joins you eats well too. A community table is meant to be shared.

The year, at a glance

Six programmes, twelve months.

Each programme runs for two months at a time. The rotation lands the same way every year, so there's always a return.

The Six

The people we save a seat for.

This month

January & July

Pioneer Uncles

Men born 1949 or earlier · aged 70+

For the men who built the country we live in. The cooking, the carrying, the rebuilding — we owe them more than a meal, but a meal is a start.

NRIC at the host stand. That's the whole process.

February & August

Pioneer Aunties

Women aged 70 and above

For the women who held the line — kitchens, classrooms, factories, families. The mothers and grandmothers of modern Singapore.

NRIC at the host stand. Bring a friend.

March & September

The First Year

New mothers · babies under 12 months

Sleep is rare, hands are full, and a hot meal someone else made is not a small thing. Babies under one are very welcome.

Birth certificate (or a photo of it) — that's all we need.

April & October

Healthcare Heroes

MOH-recognised healthcare staff

For nurses, doctors, allied health, support staff — anyone working under an MOH-recognised institution. Long shifts deserve a long lunch.

MOH staff ID at the host stand.

May & November

Those Who Serve

SAF · Police · Civil Defence · ICA · CNB

For our SAF servicemen and women, SPF officers, SCDF, ICA, and CNB. Active or in uniform. The job doesn't stop for lunch — but lunch can stop, just for a bit.

Service ID, in or out of uniform.

June & December

A Seat for Everyone

Persons with disabilities and their carers

Every CALI outlet is wheelchair-friendly; we'll pull tables together, dim what needs dimming, raise what needs raising. Ask for what you need.

SG Enable card at the host stand.

A meal becomes a meal when someone else is at the table.

The Honour System

We don't make you prove a thing.

One ID at the host stand. We won't ask why, won't make a list, won't put you on a database, won't post your photo. The meal is the meal. You are the guest.

We chose the honour system on purpose. The cost of being occasionally taken advantage of is much smaller than the cost of making someone who needs a meal feel like they have to beg for it.

Press & Media

A model new to Singapore hospitality.

Singapore has long had remarkable free-meal programmes — Willing Hearts, Free Food For All, Krsna's, the Sikh and Buddhist temples — all charities, NGOs, or religious institutions. What CALI has launched is different:

the first commercial fine-casual restaurant group in Singapore to operate a structured, restaurant-funded community programme at scale.

11,315 complimentary meals a year, served on the honour system, with rotating beneficiary cohorts — all funded from operations, not donations.

“A restaurant is, at its heart, a place where people sit down together. Once a year, every uncle, every auntie, every nurse, every new mother, every officer, every neighbour with a different way of moving through the world — should know there's a seat with their name on it. Not as charity. As welcome.”

Help us reach the table

Know someone
who should know?

An uncle who never asks for help. A new mother who hasn't slept. A nurse coming off a fourteen-hour shift. Forward this. The hardest part of a community programme isn't the meals — it's making sure the right people hear about it.

If this is your month —

We've kept a seat.

Walk in any time. If you'd like the comfort of knowing a table's held, reserve in thirty seconds.
